Beginner Acting Classes for Adults | 12-Week Intensive
Over 12 weeks, you'll build confidence, presence, and voice through structured games, improvisation, and text work. You'll learn to:

What Comes Next
The path forward runs through five Advanced Modules: Character & Transformation, Solo Performance, Scene Study in Contemporary American Theater, Voice & Physicality Mastery, and Devising Original Work. Each one deepens a different aspect of craft over 12 weeks, building on what came before while opening new territory. You take them in order, and you decide how far to go. There's no expectation to complete all five, no pressure to stay longer than the work serves you.
Some students complete one module and leave satisfied, carrying what they learned into their careers, relationships, and daily lives.
Others keep returning, year after year, enrolling in module after module until the work becomes woven into the fabric of their lives, not just a class they attend, but a practice that shapes how they show up in the world.
If you complete all five modules, you automatically qualify for Elite Company, where the ensemble creates and performs original work on established stages throughout Sacramento. Or Cristian may invite you in earlier, if he sees you're ready for that level of sustained collaboration and creative commitment.
Elite is where the work shifts from training to creation, where showing up becomes making, where rehearsals turn into performances and students become artists. It's a six-month renewable cycle of creating new work, and members share in box office revenue from the productions they help build.
Some stay for a season, complete a show, and move on. Others never leave, making Elite a central part of their creative life for years. Both paths honor the work. What matters isn't how long you stay, but that you stay present while you're here.

Is this suitable for complete beginners?
Yes! Most students have never acted before. This is designed specifically for non-professionals who want to build confidence, improve communication, or explore self-expression.
What if I'm shy or introverted?

What if I'm not sure I'm "good enough"?
There's no audition. If you're ready to show up, you're good enough.
Is this therapy?
No, but it's therapeutic. We're not licensed therapists, but the work is deeply emotional and transformative.
What's the age range?
Adults 18 and over. Teen Lab is for ages 13–17
Will I have to perform in public?
Yes. Every term ends with a showcase. It's scary. It's necessary. You'll be supported.
Can I watch a class before enrolling?
We don't allow observers (it disrupts the container), but you can attend a one day workshop or schedule a call with Cristian.
How much do acting classes cost?
Our beginner acting course is $1,500 for 12 weeks (60 contact hours). We offer payment plans starting at $500 deposit, and a pay-in-full discount of $1,350.
Where are acting classes held?
Our studio is located in Midtown Sacramento, directly across from B Street Theater's Sofia Tsakopoulos Center. We chose this neighborhood for its quiet focus, close enough to Sacramento's vibrant arts scene, but removed from the noise. A place designed for presence.
When do classes start?
Our next beginner cohort starts in February 2026. We run 3 cycles per year with limited enrollment (12 students max per group).
